Located on Strand Road, next to the Hooghly River is a beautiful park named Millennium Park. The park lies between Vidyasagar Setu and Howrah Bridge and is among the top attractions in the city. Millennium Park is 2.5km long and lies on Hooghly’s eastern shore opposite to the Railway Club and near the Fairlie Ghat. The park is named Millennium Park since it is a gift from the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA/CMDA) to the citizens of Kolkata on completing a millennium, the park was inaugurated on 26 December 1999.
People come here to enjoy the greenery and more than that the beauty of Hooghly River which resides alongside it. The park has beautiful, landscaped gardens and numerous slides and swings for kids. The highlight remains the numerous trees, and plants along with varied rides. Several government and private cruises start at Millennium Park Ghat and takes you to the Kolkata’s beautiful heritage landmarks alongside the Hooghly River.

By Train:- BBD Bagh Station is the nearest Chakra rail station. Howrah is the nearest station, just 2.5 kms from the site.
By Road:- Bus services are available to reach there. Local buses, minibuses and metered taxis are readily available from various parts of the city.
