Bakkhali is a seaside hamlet in the South 24 Parganas district of the state of West Bengal, this hamlet has a white sand beach which stretches for about 8 kilometers from Bakkhali to Fraserganj. Bakkhali is the perfect destination for nature lovers who want to spend some time in peace, serene and quiet place. It is situated on one of the galore deltaic islands spread across southern Bengal.

Most of the islands are part of the Sundarbans, barring a few at the fringes. The best season or months to visit places in Bakkhali are February, March, October, November, and December. By Air: The nearest airport is Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose international Airport at Dum Dum, Kolkata. One can reach there by road or by train from Kolkata.

By Train: The nearest rail station is at Namkhana. There are regular trains from Sealdah via Lakshmikantapur and Kakdwip to Namkhana.

By Road: Bakkhali is well connected by road to Kolkata. The road runs through Diamond Harbour and Kakdwip to Namkhana, where the car or bus has to be transported across the Hatania-Doania creek in a special ferry to reach there. The ferry service is available from 7AM-11PM.
